Welcome:
My name is Adam Guymon. I am rolling for the office of,
Salt Lake County at Large 3.
I am a (PWD) Person With Disabilities.
I am from Ogden Utah and the oldest sibling. I graduated Hunter High School in West Valley City Utah in 1996.
I am a registered Green Party of Utah member & I am very avid about the green party values. I as well am very avid about Disability Rights. As a PWD I live each and every day and struggle as a Person With Disabilities. I want to make change that other candidates and parties have failed at doing. I believe running as a Green Candidate is important because the perfect candidate is the candidate who is a regular Joe who lives life and understands the daily struggles that those who do not have the worries that most of as Americans have to deal on a regular basis.
I believe that change will only take place once the Elected Listen to the People and the elected give a Voice to the People.
I want to make shore that All People's Equal Rights have been met. A minim amount of people think that everyone is treated equal but this is not completely true. If and only once everyone is treated equal is when the marginalized community of Black, Brown,LGBTQIA+, Native American, The Physically/Mentally and people who you can't see their Disability. As long as there is PWD People With Disabilities and POC People Of Color that are not being given the same equal rights then there is not equal treatment in this country and thus the phrase (All Lives Matter) is nothing but a pipe dream. The mentioned Marginalized communities all in one way or the other have experianced the same struggles in life.
I believe in equal access is important because things such as Public Transit, Food, Clothing, Shelter, Access to things such as Theme/Water Parks etc should be a reality for all not for some. I see this the most.
People have the notion that if you don't fit into a certain category then you aren't "Normal". This can be everything from the color of your skin, Income, Disability. People who are part of the Marginalized & Disabled communities are mostly Poor. In this world most of America is limited in what we can and can't do. There is a big majority of people that are more limited than you will ever know. If a person had the money to meet their needs and Achieve their dreams this world would be a Equal World and all lives would matter. Since money is what talks and not Peoples Voices that talk we have more than enough work ahead of us.
This is our community and I like most of us would love to know that our dreams are not going to be dictated by the same rules & laws that we are still are in a strangle-hold to that stops PWD from earning money without worrying about losing their basic benefits etc.
I am a Write-In Candidate. I am asking you to vote for me not because I am successful or own a business and have money. I am asking you to vote for me because I am just like each and everyone of you. I am just a regular person trying to make the world a better place & Achieve goals & struggle on a daily while working 10 times harder than someone with all of the abilities that can do at ease.
This is our community & lets take control.
I am an Activist and I fight for the rights of "We The People".
